St. Therese of Lisieux, pray for us!

Happy feast day St. Therese of Lisieux

St. Therese and I have a very special friendship (Confirmation Saint).
She and I are so alike in so many ways.

A couple years ago when God placed it on my heart to start this blog I wanted to make sure it was                   the right thing and that it was God's will. So I started so many novenas to her and every time I got a red rose and I knew this was something God really wanted me to do. So this blog in a way is dedicated to her.

Also cool story last year when the Imagine Sisters started the one rose invitation I wanted to give a Rose to all the girls in my Life Teen. But I was looking at buying like 40 roses and thats crazy expensive!!! So I got this crazy idea and I told St. Therese that if she wanted me to give a roses to all the girls she would have to make it happen. So I told my Mom of what I wanted to do for the girls at LT and she noted it. So two days before her feast day, my mom was grocery shopping and low and behold they were selling 14 red roses for only $7! My mom called me right away to let me know, I swear I almost started crying (God is so good). So we ended getting 42 red roses for only $21. My Mom got this great idea that we should attach a picture on the rose and some string. It turned out so pretty. And all the girls at LT were so happy and touched, I think even my youth ministry Bill was touched.

Anyways....St. Therese also taught me that you can ask God of anything and he most certainly listens.
I understood that every flower created by Him is beautiful, that the brilliance of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not lessen the perfume of the violet or the sweet simplicity of the daisy. I understood that if all the lowly flowers wished to be roses, nature would no longer be enamelled with lovely hues. And so it is in the world of souls, Our lord's living garden.”

  1. Hey Marisa! Just wondering, which version of the St Therese Novena do you recommend? There's quite a few out there, I don't know which one to choose. Thanks for this beautiful blog post :) xo
