^^ *Hi there face*
So I have no idea where you ladies are in your life? But I have officially been diagnosed with a condition of Senioritis...(Senioritis):
noun. A crippling disease that strikes high school seniors. Symptoms include: laziness, an over-excessive wearing of track pants, old athletic shirts, sweatpants, athletic shorts, and sweatshirts. Also features a lack of studying, repeated absences, and a generally dismissive attitude. The only known cure is a phenomenon known as Graduation.
So yeah pretty much all of the above ^^. I'm doing everything within my power to stay strong and productive. I can be productive 75% of the time. It's just every now and then a wave of "I'm sick of sitting here reading, writing, and busting my brain out in math". (That's when you're supposed to respond with a "Amen, sister"). Anyways prayers would be appreciated. Not only for me but all seniors unfortunately this disease affects thousands of HS seniors everyday. But I can't get lazy and sloppy in my work. Because it's God's will that I do well in all that I do. He put me through these 3 1/2 years and he'll get me through the next 4-5 months! Great thing about being Catholic is that there is literally a prayer for everything. I know St. Thomas Aquinas is the patron Saint of students and studies. You'll be amazed how much he can help you in your study life! (see here)
A Student's Prayer (by St. Thomas Aquinas)
Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, true source of light and fountain of wisdom!
Pour forth your brilliance upon my dense intellect, dissipate the darkness which covers me,
that of sin and of ignorance. Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory,
method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend,
and abundant grace in expressing myself.
Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion.
This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true man,
living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever.
Amen.
Amen.

So that's what I've been suffering from! Finally a diagnosis! ;) Thanks for the great blog. I came here after reading your lifeteen article, which was absolutely awesome and you totally expressed everything I was going through. Keep up the good work! I'll be praying for you! I know how stressful and overwhelming senior year can be. God bless!

I am a college senior who found this through searching senioritis prayer, but this blog...wow. Thank you. It is so hard to be fashionable and modest. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for that witness. The help and suggestions are awesome. So is that prayer, too. ;) Thanks!
